Established in 1972, the CMA Music Festival is a four-day celebration of country music set in downtown Nashville. Presented by the Country Music Association, this Tennessee music festival draws more than 400 artists and over 250,000 attendees to the Nashville metropolitan area every June.
Stages for the CMA Music Festival are found at Riverfront Park, Bridgestone Arena, and LP Field – all neighboring Nashville landmarks like the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and Ryman Auditorium – home stage of the Grand Ole Opry.
Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum
Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum is located along the Cumberland River in the entertainment district of Nashville. The museum strives to educate its visitors on the history of country music and to promote country music traditions. Since 1967, the museum has been home to "America's Music". The $37 million building opened in 2001 and is a key fixture in the Nashville skyline.

Nashville International Airport

The Nashville International Airport has serviced the Nashville area since 1937, after smaller airports provided air travel from the 1910s through the 1930s. The airport was originally named Berry Field, in honor of Col. Harry S. Berry. The 4th Ferrying Command of the United States Army Air Force Transport Command, used the airport as its headquarters, during World War II.
