Bell Buckle Café

A popular landmark and eatery, the Bell Buckle Café has been a staple of the Bell Buckle landscape for years. Travel through middle Tennessee and visit from nearby cities like Shelbyville and Murfreesboro.

Tuesday through Thursday after 4:30 p.m., try any of the excellent homemade pizzas – the J Gregry Special is a local favorite, as is the J Gregry Deluxe. Downtown Bell Buckle

Johnny Red Floyd Stadium

This impressive and popular stadium is home to the Middle Tennessee State University football team. It was built in 1933, and features a seating capacity of 30,788 – it's named in honor of former MTSU football head coach Johnny "Red" Floyd in 1979. Prior to that, it was known as Horace Jones Field. 

Middle Tennessee State University

Home of the Blue Raiders, Middle Tennessee State University is located in Murfreesboro in the heart of the Nashville Metropolitan area. MTSU was founded in 1911, and offers nine colleges for over 80 different degree programs to students.

The university is best known for its programs in Music, Aerospace, Recording Industry, and Concrete Industry Management. In 2009, Forbes ranked MTSU on its list of the Top 100 Public Universities.

The campus is set on a spacious 466 acres with thirteen dormitories and eight fraternity houses. The Johnny “Red” Floyd Football Stadium is a hub for the Division I Blue Raiders during the season.

MTSU boasts a talented and distinguished list of alumni including former Vice President Al Gore, as well as his fellow Nobel Peace Prize-winner James McGill Buchanan.

Murphy Center

Reese Smith Jr. Field

In middle Tennessee, you'll find the Reese Smith Jr. Field, home turf of the Middle Tennessee State University baseball team. Stones River National Battlefield

Set along the Stones River, the Stones River National Battlefield is located in central Tennessee near the city of Murfreesboro.

Preserving the site of the Civil War Battle of Stones River through the National Park Service, the site covers 570 acres.

Also featuring the Stones River National Cemetery, the battlefield is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Established in 1927, the park features seven miles of hiking trails, cycling on the Murfreesboro Greenway System, and inoperative programs like ranger-led tours.

Happening in late spring, the Tennessee Guitar Festival and Competition draws attendees to the Hinton Music Hall in MTSU’s Wright Music Building for the anticipated solo competitions – plus workshops and lectures all in middle Tennessee.

The Grand Ole Opry
